growing up, rhianne and her older brother, darrius, were appointed the leaders of a group of neighborhood kids who would later appoint themselves as the "boston crew." they were notoriously known at school and at home for getting into trouble, and this would follow them into their teen years where they all one by one would be sent to a boarding school in foxfield, new york for problems ranging from accessive drinking to drug use.
barely sixteen years old at the time, rhianne found out that she was pregnant. her boyfriend at the time, chris, who she had previously broken up with because of his infidelity, then proposed to her. the two of them were planning on raising their child together. as she approached the end of her first trimester, chris broke things off with her in a letter, leaving her high and dry. this left rhianne devastated with no choice but to become a single mother. on february 10th, 2006, while on the way to her school's sadie hawkins' dance, she, her brother, and the rest of the boston crew made a detour to the hospital where rhianne gave birth to her daughter, jayla.
the same summer that she found out she was pregnant was the same summer that she found out that she had been adopted by the mckenzies. though she still didn't know the reason why her birth parents gave her up for adoption, she wound up finding them in brooklyn, new york, and growing a relationship with them and her younger brother, joshua.
managing to balance high school as a teen mom had been rough enough, but the drama that was constantly surrounding her made things even worse. her dating life post chris was nothing short of a disaster - she was the center of a love triangle between herself and her married friend, rj diaz and his wife, the two of them always gravitating toward the other when rj's marriage became tough. she fell for adam luscombe, her best friend, only for adam to reject her. she briefly dated two other boys by the names of joel peters and brett izykowski who would also wind up cheating on her. her oldest friend in the world, chase dawson, also had feelings for her at one point, but his constant drug abuse made it so rhianne couldn't trust him around her or her daughter.
after a lot of fights and a lot of tears, she and adam finally became a couple. he adopted jayla as his daughter, and in 2010, the two eloped, after adam's numerous proposals. two years into their marriage, they found themselves in a fight when it was exposed by rhianne's ex, chris, that rhianne had never changed her name legally to luscombe. they spent nearly two years seperated before they made up and rhianne returned home to her husband.
on her 26th birthday, she gave birth to her and adam's first child together, a baby boy named beckett.
